GUWAHATI: The chairman of the newly-constituted State Agriculture Commission, Dr HS Gupta has emphasized the need to work with added momentum to ensure growth of the agricultural and allied sectors and make the State self-sufficient in production of proteins.
Addressing the first meeting of the commission at Khanapara here on Thursday, Gupta said that priority must be accorded even at midnight when it comes to providing nutrition to the people of Assam.
According to a press release, Gupta also laid stress making the State self-sufficient in production of milk, eggs and meat.
